I know i have been teasing you all with the promise of events coming up for Geek Girls & Women in IT.... well I am very happy to report that in February we now have 2 confirmed Geek Girl Events. :)
The first is specifically a Geek Girl Blogs Meet & Greet - to give some of the Sydney based Geek Girl bloggers a chance to catch up, meet in person, and talk about ways to support & encourage other women in IT in Sydney & Australia. Its going to be held on the 13th of February when Bronwen (My Geek Girl Blogs co-conspirator) is going to be in town. We are kicking off with Dinner at Sailors Thai in the Rocks at 6:30. There is also our inaugural Sydney Girl Geek Dinner being held on the 21st of February:http://girlgeekdinnerssydney.blogspot.com/. At this stage its going to be an introduction evening, gauging feedback & getting ideas on what people are interested in seeing/talking about for future events. We have had some good interest so far so looks like its going to be a great series of events! I hope to see you there.
